The Course is sponsored by CRTCAC [Calgary Regional Technology Commercialization Advisory Council] and the Alberta Heritage Foundation for medical Research. The course uses technology provided by the University of Calgary for the distance learning part of the course.
This course is for graduate students in medical, health and bio-science related fields such as :
- Medicine
- Nursing
- Rehabilitation
- Life Sciences
- Biomedical engineering.
The course has flexible learning sessions on Elluminate and Blackboard so that it is not in competition with your research or teaching. It is held on two weekends and seven evening on-line sessions.

How much does it cost?
Full scholarships for the course are provided by the sponsors. Once accepted, your responsibility is to attend the two workshops and the online sessions and work on the team project. We do ask for a $200 deposit which is refunded to you when you have completed the course.
This course starts with the weekend at the Barrier Lake Field Station, in dormitory style rooms of 3 people, on November 6th, 2009. Transportation to and from the Barrier Lake Field Station is the responsibility of each participant. Full details will be sent to the applicant winners. A contact list will be posted on the website so car pooling can be arranged between yourselves.
