THECIS is a not for profit company founded in Calgary in 2001 with a vision to create a globally recognised centre for innovation research. To achieve this vision, it operates in three areas:

  • Research. Building insights into how the innovation systems functions and policies that can improve it.
  • Networking. Providing opportunities for exchange of ideas through breakfast meetings, workshops and conferences.
  • Education. Dissemination of information through Newsletters, events and other informal education.

This is a two-day interactive workshop, to educate graduate students in Medicine, Engineering and Science, about business basics.  Through breakout groups, small group discussions and dialogue between students and presenters. This year's workshop has two levels, one basic and one advanced, that will run in parallel.
